For ASVS 2013 meeting in Istanbul, we are partnering with the Turkish Society for Vascular Surgery who will be holding their annual congress at the same time (16th Congress of Turkish Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery) in cooperation with Turkish Society of Phlebology. 8th Asian Venous Forum will also take place during ASVS 2013.

Istanbul is one of the most magical and enchanting sites of UNESCO World heritage bridging Asia and Europe. It is endowed with unrivaled beauty complimented by unique harmony of ancient and contemporary, oriental and occidental. The city is located at the crossroads of civilizations and is the only major city in the world built on two continents. It bridges Europe and Asia geographically and culturally. The history of the city dates back 8,000 years, and having been the capital for three successive great empires, Eastern Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman, it has been a melting pot for various cultures and religions.

The meeting, already a standard-setting tradition in inter-collegiate dissemination of state-of-the-art clinical practices, cutting edge scientific achievements, and industrial advances in vascular surgery; is usually attended nationally and internationally by upwards of 1400  surgeons, specialists in related fields, and scientists.

We aim to exceed the well-established superior quality of the previous meetings, and make this meeting a memorable and rewarding experience for all participants.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Istanbul to enjoy the famous Turkish hospitality.

With warmest regards,

Prof. Dr. A. Kürşat Bozkurt

Congress President & President of ASVS
